What's on the agenda for this weekend fhc people, work or play?
I'm waiting another hour or so for temps to rise a degree or two to melt the ice on the roads before heading up the mountain for firewood duty. Enjoy your weekend!

Well we have this white stuff falling from the sky for the first time this year. There is about 4" on the ground. Yet they said it was due to switch over early this morning for the coast of RI. Myst be nice to be able to be so wrong all of the time.

Needless to say, my plans depend on what the weather does this morning.

No plans at all here, it's freezing rain/icing now so we'll just wait it out. Calling for .30 of ice.

Yep. Might watch some Lord of the Rings and drink some Christmas beer. Gotta remember to pick up some grub so I have something to eat later.

Build a snowman. Kids christmas recital. That's the kid stuff

Thinking about driving to a tree service site i saw on CL that puts logs outside their yard. But it's pretty snowy and the roads are bad and more than 50% of drivers here don't gey snow tires.

    So maybe just beer.

The rain that fell as a mist yesterday is now nice and solid. Right now it is right around freezing and temperatures are dropping all day to a forecast of about 7 at midnight and continuing down to right near 0ºF tomorrow. I have spent the last few days setting up for a new railing on my front porch and intend to try to finish it while I can still stand up out there. I will really like having it next time I have to walk out there.

We expect -35 to -40 wind chills this weekend. So I'll be staying in by the stove.

20161217_105127.jpg It's snow followed by sleet and freezing rain here. It's just about turned to rain so there's 2 inches of wet slush everywhere. That prohibits most outdoor activities. Probably just chill out in the house and read or catch up on some indoor chores. Boring.

Right where I want to be.
Just fed myself, and now I need to get out to try keeping up with the snow.
Back to using a shovel, as the tractor gave up on me.....well, actually, I think it's the starter or solenoid. I pulled it back to the shed with the Exploder, then pushed it into the shed and grabbed a shovel a couple days ago.
The snow can stop any old time now. I'd be fine with that.
Wrong thread, but the IAT is 79. I'm not used to sweating unless I'm working, so this is odd.

Yesterday (Saturday) started with sleeping in. Then on the roof to clean the chimney cap, then worked some indoor projects, then to our small group (church), where we had a game nght. In between I did some reading.

Looking out the window, today looks like I will run the snowplow after church. Probably will do some reading and thinking, it will be a quiet day, I hope.

Both days, feeding the stove. :fire: We are really having some cold weather. Yesterday's high was 11 degrees.

    Yep, work and play.
