    rottiman she's a good lookin southern belle:yes:
Is she being separated from the older dog on the left? Might come with some anxiety , or added anxiety in this case with an established dog moving.

Hey rottiman . Congrats on the cool dog and you won't regret taking her in and giving her a good life. There will be some adjusting to be made for all, no doubt. But in the long run she will give you a great life too. Labs are fantastic dogs. And Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Well, due to the pending storm tomorrow and the travel involved, it was decided to bring her here this afternoon. She arrived about 3:30 this afternoon and appears to have settled in as if she has always been here. She has a peach of a personality and is a compact 75lb. frame. Although she is very lab in appearance she is half Rottweiler. You can see the Rotti in the shape of her skull. The personality seems to be all LAB. All considered, I think we have a winner on our hands. Ironic twist to this is that on this date back in 2004 we brought our new puppy "BEAR" home for the first time. Ain't life funny......................

Congrats rottiman . Just remember that she is on her best behavior now and in a couple of weeks, I would not be surprised if you see some changes (good, bad or indifferent). But, she is in good hands and I'm glad she seems to be at home already

    Where are the :ithappened:?

Dana B , viszlas are very high energy dogs, as is any pointing breed.

They require a lot of exercise, otherwise they will create problems for their owners.

Great dogs, for certain people. They live to hunt. Like German shorthair pointers, they really need a hunting family. I've seen a few that have been placated with flyball, or agility, but they are bred to hunt birds.

rottiman I am very happy you are going to renew you bonds with another fur friend. Your new friend is coming from a good home, so expect separation anxiety for a while. I hope you get her chipped right away, or have the data changed if she is already chipped. She just might try find her way back home. You will be much happier now with a new friend. This is a good tribute to your Rottweiler. The only thing better is two fur friends. I found that I couldn't play the way the dog wanted to, so I got another and they play, play, play. Getting all tuckered out and come in for long naps. If I go away for a few hours, I don't feel guilty leaving them home together.

Great page and a half of posts, and this one sums it up! :tears:
This news is fantastic rottiman  I'm warmed by y'all's taking in this pretty lass, and even more so that the situation is poised to fill the void you've felt since Bear's passing.
A very special Merry Christmas to and yours, sir:handshake:

I have to admit that hearing that Dixie has new parents has made this a much better week for me. She has a good loving home. Very lucky dog. She didn't have to go to a kennel. This time, it is a good event for a dog.

A rot mixed with lab? You hit the jackpot sir! Lab personality with the rott instincts for protecting the family!

My lab won't hurt anything. Hell, I had to train him to bark! If you broke in, he'd go stand by his food bowl waiting for you to feed him

    Congrats on the family addition.
