    Yep. They are tough. I had a buddy who killed a nice 10 some time ago. Upon skinning it, we found a spitfire 125gr expandable broadhead buried in its spine. You could not tell it had been shot from the outside of the hide. He was not limping or anything.

    We've seen this too along with some shot with a .22. Once one shot with what appeared to be a .30 of some sort but several with arrowheads imbedded.

    Picture was not mine but came from a friend but I don't have the details. Sure looks ugly.

    I shot a deer one time with a gun and upon skinning it had been shot before with a arrow and it had a bunch of gang green and smell I lost most of that deer meat but did not want to take any chances what a shame

    Shot looks a little high. Could just been a perfect pass through without hitting any organs. Poor guy. That had to hurt!

    Looks like it could be a war wound? I have had many with worse gashes than that from fighting.

    Skinned one out once that was covered with holes in his chest from a fight.
