Funny how that works. We go crazy between life and work (especially work) then when we are told to take it easy, we cant.

I can be a couch potato for about a day and that's it.

Hey B, glad to see you are back even if for only an hour or so!!! We did miss notice that you were not here and with the nasty knock on the head that could get ugly.

Well the little guy is still not himself yet. Having ALL but 2 of his teeth out I would think that normal after only 2 days, but vet says not really. Seems the critters are tougher than we are and they bounce back quicker too.

He hasnt eaten or drank since coming home on Monday and since it was nothing the night before that meant since Sunday night. I did get him to eat a few mouthfuls last night but that bothered him enough to back off and not eat any more since. He then coughed up some icky looking white stuff but at least he did not throw up what he did eat. Poor little guy. No using the litter box yet either.

Sooo, this meant that the Doc wanted to see him this afternoon to make sure no complications have set in. Temp normal, did not lose weight, lungs were clear-all good stuff there. His bladder was full and I pointed out again that he hadnt used the litter box yet. That got her attention so she made him pee which took some real coaching but when he finally started, boy did he have to go. That in itself would likely make him feel better and the fact that he went meant no blockage.

He then got some fluids, a shot for inflammation and finally a "happy" shot of Butorphanol (half dose) for any pain. he will be comfortable tonight but still hasnt eaten anything yet. He likely will be much better over the next day or so but he is still confined to a room so I can tell if he is eating and using the litter box. There is another kitty so I need to monitor him separate for now.

I had the eco65 choochin this morning, then the sun came out and the winds died down too. I was busy by then and between the awesome passive solar heat and choochin stove it was 88* in here. Ooops, but gotta love it.

I'm sitting in Clearwater, MN tonite...have an 11am delivery 30 minutes down the road... have 40K of cheddar on board.

Enjoying the brisk -9F temps right now... supposed to be down to -12F but that's in the city of St. Cloud... maybe -14 or so where I'm headed. Put some blended diesel in the KW tonite just to be safe...
