Now that winter has reared it's ugly head here in N.E. Iowa with 30 below windchills, my work as a landscaper is pretty much done till March. After long hard thought on the matter of some sort of income I have decided to become a rock star. I mean, how hard can it be? I already have a rock.... And after a nanno second of discussion about my new life venture with my wife and the dog all was right with the world. But just to be sure I went to social media to see if I would be accepted as an ageing up coming talent in the heavy metal rock world. I was pleasantly surprised to find that after only 2 minutes I was able to meet my 2 biggest fans. Fame like that just dont happen every day. Disclaimer; -30° F below wind chills right now. Might have a brain freeze. Have a guddun all.
I got a BIL who says everybody who lives north of the 45th parallel has permanent brain freeze. So, that might explain my issues, but you aren't that far north. Maybe you drank a slushy too fast.
Jeez, how long have you been laid off? It's only December 14 and it looks like cabin fever already setting in. Stirring up sh!t and causing trouble on other boards, you big meanie. Oh, did you get a deer? And if not, you gonna tough it out this weekend or just hunker down by the fire?
I laid myself off as of 10:30 this morning. The nice folks at the Iowa Workforce development place (I/E) unemployment office didnt give me any grief and I gave them the same courtesy. Now, as for stirrin up chit with you no who, well, we just gotta tell it like it is some times dont we. I didnt go out today cuz of being busy but tomorrow is gonna be another day. Might find a half dead frozen deer that wants to warm up in my cast iron skillet. You and yours have a good holiday season Travis and watch out on the highway on your way to and from where ever.
Butcher, You crack me up. Keep em coming. Btw, do they still run RAGBRAI? I participated in 1986. Yikes - 30 years ago now. The Fool.
