It's awesome! I put it in 5 small zip locks for the week.. I think I'm doing that more often. We go all over Michigan to service dairy farm equipment there's days I don't have time to stop and eat...

We've made the kind with a jerky gun and ground beef/venison but the kind like you made with thin sliced steak is always better

A piece or two of jerky will quickly cut hunger. There's a lot of protein in dried meat.

I always bring a baggie of jerky in the woods when I cut/haul wood. That and a cold mtn dew get me going and keep going. The dew is like the diesel ether, and the jerky is the extended run fuel.

The ground stuff is better than nothing, but the cut up stuff is much gooder-er.

We just slice as thin as possible off of deer hind quarters but have also bought beef rump roast for jerky. Marinated in soy sauce/ Worcestershire it softens tougher meat pretty well.

I don't have any pictures of that at the moment but it kinda puts you in mind of slim jim brand jerky-not the sticks . Actually, ours also has an end that makes sticks too but the flat kind turns out better IMO. We bought ours at Walmart . My cousin hooked it up w/ a sweet double barrel job from Cabelas. Cuts down on time compared to mine

Well Seasoned how much did you get from this last storm? My son didn't work at his job. He did all the snow removal with his ATV and plow. I have a nice snow blower but he isn't in to using it much.

They work really well. You can pick one up on Amazon for cheap. Mine came with some jerky mix, I tried it, but found it too salty for my liking. Either grind your own meat, or use very lean ground meat for that gun. I find that two pounds makes a good batch. I do mine in the over at 180 for 3.5 hrs.

Well, main storm only about 4", stopped for awhile, now its snowing again, another inch, not showing itself on the radar. Ill be watching the potential for a storm this weekend and we will all be in the single digits for a high. The plow on the grizzly makes quick work of the snow. How did you fare?

around 6 to 7 inches. I went out after the clean up. Drove the car down the big hills and back. No problems at all. Glad I got the tires changed over. Dogs aren't finding anything funny about the snow. They go do their business and want back in. Don't blame them a bit. Esp. the old one.

Did you have them add studs to the tires? Dawn is happy with her tires.

yes, studded tires. A bit noisy, but more secure.
