Well it's been a while since I've spent any time on the wood pile… like since June! I started the wood boiler only a week ago and began "wood working" the past 2 days, finally! Last seasons warm temps left me with that back row as a down payment on this years wood that has already been s/c/s. Nice & cool the past 2 days, about 10* most of the morning and the sun made it very nice. I hope to finish this double row (to the right) in a few more days of work, then start the next one. Got a good amount of trees - logs in a few different piles ready to go. That's the fun part for me, cutting & dragging out logs (saw & tractor work). I haven't found a fun, er mechanized way to stack wood - yet
It's good you're able to get working on the logs before the snow gets deep and it gets cold. That's good working weather right there.
Good to be out working like that....I had to do some running around with the wife today so I was just outside from about 6-8 with the lights up moving wood. I finally got my patio stash filled, latest I have ever been. It's about 20º here.
It was frosty this morning, 2* just as the sun came up. I didn't get in a hurry to get out to the pile, maybe 8:00 but everything was fuzzy with that funny heavy frosting.
Yeah Eric, but it's a dry cold It does make a big difference, I lived for years down in the Mid Atlantic and that humidity does to the cold what it does to the hot
