Managed to slip and fall last night, banging my head pretty good and getting blood everyhere. This happened literally 5 minutes before I would have left my night job. A couple firsts for me:
    • Called 911 for myself (have called for other people)
    • Ambulance ride
    • Concussion
    • CAT scan for my head (no bad news - they wanted to check since I wouldn't have anyone to check on me thru the night, er morning)
Should have been home about 9:30 last night, instead got home just before 1 AM this morning. That made for a long-azz day since I get up at 3:30 AM on weekdays.

Not the way I wanted to start the weekend. Oh yeah, there is no way I'm following doctors orders and not doing any physical activity for the next several days. Chit will start falling tomorrow night so I will be shoveling and blowing snow or a mix. I will concede to not moving the ton of pellets I was going to transfer from my shed to the basement.

On another note, the P61a is in room temp / manual and the P43 has been loaded with PTL's but is still on the thermostat. It is sunny, so I should get some solar warming although the wind doesn't help in keeping heat in.

ooooo, Channel 5 is saying 2-5" Monday which is one inch better than Channel 9's 3-6" forecast.

I generally like Josh Judge at channel 9, but her forecast is better-and she is prettier

Dang B, that really sucks. Hope the noggin is OK as well as your neck and back-its easy to get those out of whack on a slip and fall. Take it easy and rest while keeping a close watch on headaches, vision issues etc. Its not something to take lightly.

You take it easy, creepers are likely called for. I went down on black ice under a dusting of snow did a hell of a job on my right wrist, no break, just major dislocation, ended up in day surgery and then 9 weeks in a fingers to above the elbow cast. That damm thing even hurt like he** when the cast came off, went down on ice again St. Patty,s day in 2014 right radius broke.

There is maybe 6" on the ground here. Most of it went south of me. The wind has been northwest. I don't get much LES unless the winds are due west.

Supposedly another 6-10" of 'real, non lake effect' snow starting late tonight. We'll see.
