I fix sewing machines for friends, and it's interesting to see the range of quality between brands and models. And it warms the heart to see how glad they are to get their beloved machines back working again. I only accept money for parts, but if one wants to bake some cookies or a pie, who am I to refuse such kindness ?

I did not want money so they left it in room at church with a memorial plaque so all could use it! I still get brownies at Christmas

I hope this pot lasts at least until you get a good one!

There are some great vids on YouTube about sewing machine timing - that's where I learned. My SO has, among others, a tank-like Chandler machine, that's capable of sewing even leather. About once a year it would start dropping stitches, so I'd lug it downstairs and into her car, and she'd drive it about an hour away to get serviced. It cost over $$100, and two round trips. I finally had enough of that and figured out the timing was off, and learned how to fix it. Very simple, actually. I then found out the a** at the shop would not tighten the hook screw fully, so it would eventually creep out of time. I timed the machine, and actually tightened the screw, and it's been cooking for about 6 years now, no trouble. To add insult to injury, she would blame herself for the problem, thinking she hit a pin or something. I pass the word about that guy every chance I get. I hope his shorts catch fire...:mad:He cost us hundreds of unnecessary dollars, and time. I'd like to get a job driving the Karma bus...:D

looks like an ef3 2 piece would fit right in there, but don't know how long they last, either.I still have my original integra pot,has a crack, still works(have 2,would do quick clean without cooling stove down)

If it burns through and IHP's fixed pot doesn't have any issues I'll have the 4 middle grates replaced with some 316.

Hey I think I mentioned that in the PM discussion. instead of the entire floor the center 4 grates where it really piles up gets the air flow from both sides and the pellets charcoal and lite off.

    Yep I did:

These are all going were the pellet piles the highest and it gets combustion air from both inlets and where it charcoals during light off. In the current configuration you will need a decent metal not any ole low carbon steel will do.
