    I have to agree with you on that. Also customer satisfaction reports are not very impressive with their record. The technician came back first thing this AM and set all the sets up. Only issue I am having now is I can't find ABC. We will work that one out! I can find them on the Direct TV on the web.

    Here is my story...

    They installed it against the judgment of the tech due to signal strength of trees. His manager overuled him. A year later sporadic reception on my HD box.
    Then one day, the box stopped working. So I swapped it with a SD box and it worked fine. They made me pay to have a tech come out, which is normally free, but they said I messed with the install so it wasn't covered. Because, cable in and cable out is rocket science. And even a new TV would require a $50 service call. Ended up being a bad power supply.
    And the other annoyance was they had a deal to sign up for Verizon internet. Save $10 a month. Well when you do that you can no longer pay directv directly. It goes through verizon. So by doing that, I lost $15 in savings for direct pay. Net loss, $5......just stupid, stupid,stupid.

    So I then went with Charter, which I also had issues with in the past. Had them set up cable in all rooms when I signed up, which was a huge pain in their azz. And then cancelled and put in an Antenna. Although this time around they weren't half bad.

    Now you tell me! ;) Many moons ago I had Direct TV with no problem. Just one minor detail trouble me the local channels cost something extra. BS! So I switched to DISH they offered them included in their packages. I had problems with Dish almost two decades ago, but others were happy up here. SO they were great for 8 years, and then we needed to put a TV in the MiLaws room as she isn't mobile any more. Why,Why,Why did I go with Direct TV:hair:. I've been lied to, in writing no less, slammed for an unsolicited upgrade, four service trips just to get it hooked up to begin with. The signal and DVR can't touch DISH, but I saved $200.

    :headbang::headbang::headbang:

    Go ahead ATT tell me anything, I'm your Huckleberry! Want to sell my your phone service now, try me!

    I couldn't figure out how The Weather Channel could be such a bad guy in this discussion (inaccurate forecasts are not cool - but compared to DTV?). Finally figured out it was a cable company we don't have around here, so no reason for knowing the initials (I got it figured out now though)

    Once in awhile won't hurt however it is one of the common causes of IBD in cats. Can create a mess.
