Kinda like a yard gazebo but instead of being open, it is screened in. Lots of times you'll see a screened porch instead of an open porch on a house. Anti-bug outdoor sitting/relaxing area.
It is a pretty common thing around these parts, it used to be more common when I was younger. I don't know if it is a New England thing, but yooperdave knew about them.
Welcome MikeInMa , I spied the Red Sox logo on the can to the left of your stove, you'll do fine here. You have a great stacking area setup, I liked the pics.
the screen houses that are of the more permanent variety get wrapped with plastic for the winter months to prevent snow damage to the screens and during the sun filled days in late fall early spring, it actually makes for a very warm place to sit!
My screen house is on the concrete foundation of the former owner, who had a chicken coop. It's 12x24. Tore down the coop, and now have a 12x12 deck, and 12x12 screen house. The walls are full screen, with 4 vertical, vinyl sliding panels. Can open to be mostly screen, or, closed up to block wind.
Thanks for that Dave. I worked much of my life running power plants and they almost all use lake water or ocean water for cooling. To keep fish and seaweed out of the power plant they use screens in the water path and the only thing I had seen called a screen house was the place where those are located. I just knew that had to be wrong for this setting but I was still thinking something housing a mechanical device that could be called a screen.
I heated with a CDW large convection Model FA264CCL for 25 years.. Always hated the backpuffing!! Just when you think you have it figured out it puffs lol!!
