    I need a new TV....

This morning I had the news on, while eating my breakfast.
Then I saw a clip about how they were thinking that Joe Biden
may make a bid in 2020...

    WHAT????
We haven't even sworn in the new one yet,
and they are talking about 2020??!!!

    Are you serious!!!
I was sick and tired of this last election,
and all the phone calls and advertisements in 2013!!
So now I need a new one....

My stove dealer sells them. I plan on trying them and the Platinums after the first of the year.

    Yup

Remember when your primary Dr could actually treat you without the insurance company telling he/she what to diagnose or prescribe...or they have to send you to a specialist for anything and everything. Heck, you had a Dr that wasnt declared a "primary".

About 30 years ago I was getting a physical and had a small lump under my eye. The Dr had me go into the next room and HE removed it then and there for testing. Today it would take another doctor and likely yet a 3rd facility to remove it. :hair:

I know how you feel about that. They got a real good control over it when it went to computer documentation. Bean counters I call them. If we didn't have the wording right, we couldn't get reimbursement. I used to work those hours too just to get the documentation right. I didn't put my pay sheet in for anything over 8 hrs because that would have a negative result on my productivity. That productivity was everything to the bean counters. When we had paper charts, I could see six or 7 patients and be done by 5 pm. When we went to the computer, they fired all the support staff and made each nurse responsible for the whole chart. Things would be OK until we did "opens" first visit, that was hell. Then Cigna and Medicaid stepped in with their own set of rules. Every nurse had to learn a whole lot of stuff that wasn't anything about patient care. I like the job except for those living on the 4th floor, had ugly dogs, or those who were angry with their situation.

Direct TV saga: so at 6:15 I texted direct tv about the no show. They called back and rescheduled for 16 Dec. Then at 6:25 pm, in comes the TV technician ready to do the install. We had there service a couple years ago, so the dish and wires were all in place. So he pulls all the other boxes and installed Direct TV, but when he goes to set it up on the screen, their installation service is down. So now my only option is to activate the on line account and watch tv on the computer until their installer comes back up. Then he'll call me and tell me what to enter on the screen in order to bring each tv set on line . He was pleasant but this whole thing could have played out differently. As it was he got our of it easy when you consider that the dish and wires were already in place. So the wife is watching Netflix and I am on the web, nothing new there.

My honey is a triage nurse at a family practice that is now owned by the hospital. She spends most of her time on the phone making appointments and filling/refilling prescriptions and trying to get the wording right to get patients treatments right. If it isnt worded right it is denied and has to be resubmitted. Its a real waste of someone's talent and training that should be working hands on with the patients and not the insurance companies.

Oh and lets not get into the people that are looking for the abused drug refills. Some that truly need them cant get them while those abusing them are very well known by the triage nurses and doctors and they are the real PITA-especially on a Friday or if the practice will be closed for a holiday.

Also the hospital has put a freeze on hiring while people are leaving due to the new working conditions and pay scales that are much lower than others in the area.

Health Care is really and oxymoron as it has become anything but caring for your health. Larry is right, its all about the bean counters now-and those insurance companies are making quite a bit of :makeitrain"
