I think we get rain but once it gets east of us certain areas will get ice and your trails could get full of the white stuff.
Im ready when it finally hits. The wood is up, covered, Dawn came up with a wonderful system, and its working. Trails will wait until spring, any wood I drop will get winched out. Just today burning in the field, there is a decent sized birch that is leaning on a pine, some wind should drop it. Wednesday and thursday we'll see low 40's then back down to the 30's.
We have a winter weather watch posted for tomorrow com 8- 4pm. Only 2"- 4"expected, but it's the accumulating ice that is a concern.....
-* When I finally came in later this afternoon, the weather was the first thing I checked and I saw that forecast. The rain they have coming in will take care of any snow we have.
Nothing in the extended forecast except for about 0.22 inches of ice for our area but that could change real quick.
There is talk of a big storm. Dawn surprised me with plow markers. This confirms the storm.... Will need to check with Bernie tomorrow
Word is that the lake effect is going to kick in around here next Wednesday/Thursday. The Lake Michigan water temps are still in the high 40s. Should be in for a good dumping if the wind is right and it's cold enough. Which reminds me. I better go change the oil in the snow thrower and put the new belts on that I bought this spring....
Well Seasoned , it looks like we might get 4-7 inches of snow starting tomorrow night. Just as i suspected We won't get the lake effect, but we'll see some snow on and off. I heard snow machines running last night, there's only 5- 6 inches here. Brave souls....
Yes, the county snowmobile trails open up on December 15 but I'm not sure we'll have enough snow by then. Until we get the enough snow, I'll work on some firewood.
