On my way to drop the load off before work seen this on the side of the road, had to get it after called my boss told him I'll be a little late he said if you want take the day off gotta use the personal days before end of the year , all split time to take it hone and stack it
That is some pretty good looking wood. Those are some good size growth rings on the end of that cut. We do not see hard wood like that here so I am guessing that it is oak.
I'm pretty sure it's Ash. I'm having some firewood sickness here lately too, but I've already used most of my personal time for the year...
Had a tree been cut down or had it been dumped? Worth the day off---love it when a plan comes together!
Tree was cut down so I cut it to small logs to throw it in the truck and bring it to my splitter . Sure was worth the day off
My lovely bride thinks a day off is for catching up on dvr'd shows! I want to smash that thing or cut the cord or something Nice haul, man!
You know what we do on our day off, something productive. I hate staying inside, I love the outdoors, thanks
Heck teach her how to use the saw! There's room for more female wood hoarders here....we may even gang up on you....maybe that would be attractive to her...
Lmao..I think if I keep going at it like this I might start selling some wood round here. At least my wood be seasoned not like the crap these guys sell round here
Was just scanning CL and can't believe people's idea of "seasoned" not to mention the $$$$$$$$ around $100 a face cord average even saw $160 a face
When I'm able to get to the wood, she's usually by my side- she knows how to run the splitter (horiz. & vert.) , she can operate the Stihl MS 170(and has the PPE to do it) , and she can stack with the worst of them..... She can also load a ton of wood into the basement , start a great fire from a cold stove , and get the house warmed up before I get home from work. But that darned DVR. If we lived where a fire was needed 24/7/365, we wouldn't need that confounding thing
