but it all adds up. I was sitting waiting for the coyote to come by but it never happened so I looked around and we have a bunch of topped off trees.
All that kind of stuff is great. I'm all over wood like that. Sure you find some garbage on it, but it don't take long to cut a pile of wood that's good enough for the stove.
This area needs about twenty guys working just the dead pine. This area is my next big project for trails and cleaning up. I'll start on some of the stuff picture tomorrow.
Good stuff! I find a lot like that while deer hunting and carry some flagging tape along to mark all of it for after season cord collecting best part a lot of it doesn't need to be split
Well done sir. How much acreage do you have? Some people will only cut down to 4-6 inches in diameter. I generally drop to two inches unless there are a ton of limbs. Less brush to chip and it works good for shoulder periods and morning start ups. BTU's
Don't mind the small stuff. I just finished up a good 2 cord of small stuff. Looking forward to my next hoard... wonder when that will be?
I started out with all that smaller stuff as I've got tons of that behind my house. I am always grabbing it, stacking it and piling it up. I am always going after the broken or damaged tree's as well 1st as I have had many from prior storms.
I never made it to this smaller stuff today, I worked on clearing up some downed split pine along the trails near the house and I moved some pine chips with some sand to some low spots. I didn't have the camera on the tractor because it was misting out all day.
I was beginning to question how much of this earth you are the good steward of. 141 acres. In todays world, that is a lot of land. No wonder you have so many blow downs and widow makers. That is a lot of land to have to keep up with. Don't know how you do it with jobs and so much else going on.
Bunch of small locust out at the local tree dump. Problem is, temps in the teens with wind. Too cold for me. Make it as hot as you want, but dang, all that chilly.
