GS did OK as far as ash. But not much heat from my beast without kicking it in high gear. Your Harman should adjust to comp for them. But I'd suspect you'll go through them quicker. Maybe you'll get lucky and find the Jaffery stuff which did have some heat? Prolly should try them to get a feel as you might find what I found last spring. All local boxes had em to the rafters. Personally I like the MWP better, But love to hear your comments on them if you do try them. Maybe they'll surprise you?
The latest batch I got has some longer pellets(1 1/4) than the first batch. Lost a little heat but still very warm and clean. First batch I got was no longer than 3/4 inch and they were very hot. Rivaled BF-Okies and my Cubies. With my stat I find it hard to judge how long they last as it seems to even them out. Hotter pellets just reach temp quicker and throw the stove in to idle mode quicker. Both the AWF and the PTL's are averaging 1 1/2 to 2 bags a day in these cold temps. Is you batch short in length??
These UJ southern hardwoods are a bit better than the last batch I had…. at least the fines are way done and so is the dust. Toasty tonite inside… -8 tonite in the yard.
Pretty personal question, I'd say. But no, they're not. One of the things that struck me was they were longer than most other brands I've been burning.
I tried to tread lightly, Should have seen my first wording before the edit! Didn't mean to get personal!
Remember, tolerance for diversity. One of my main reasons to transition to the Harman. It doesn't care and it adjust to change without complaint!
Save, Did you drink the cool-aide? Just kidding! My dumb stove has a thermostat and has become pretty dang smart too! One would think the smart stove would sense it has a high octane pellet and adjust the feed to use less than a not so hot pellet? I did not like the taste of cool aide, I drank a brew instead!
No kool aid here. I am still waiting for some skinny young person to come over here and hook the stove up! I bet it won't take but a half hour.
Guess I should have left off the exclamation points? No offense taking. No weenies were offended in this thread!
Proper planning prevents *iss poor performance and removes the logistics pipeline from consideration. Everything except my new computer that I have ordered in the last 2 months has had a shipment delay and that came within hours of being delayed. The weather is making a mockery out of JIT logistics.
yes, and it was funny! I would hate to see anyone thinking differently then they would sitting around the fire with friends.
Wifey had to work today and I'm lazy(too many cold snaps! ) today. She'll be picking up another 25( I'll have to stuff in somehow). Just got a text with a pic of North Americans. So maybe not. Told he "STAY AWAY" and "YUK"! She'll see if they have something else, Or she'll head over to Lowes. 25 puts me right back at 3.5 tons if she can find something decent!
Nephew says he can come over after work this PM to hook up the stove. He has done hundreds of them so I know this will be done right. Having it done right is well worth waiting for. I have done things before that work, but didn't have the background to know if it was done right. I don't want to have smoke issues etc that could have been avoided. That and I can't easily get up and down from the floor.
Sometimes I think that when the impose limits like this, they just want to check out your wife when you send her in to grab another 25 bags
