Trying a couple bags of LGs . They remind me of LaCretes but a little more variation on size 1/4 - 1 and a half inch . IMG_20161204_193845.jpg

Nice one Russell, I'm about to throw a bag of LGs in the P68 here too. Have not burned them for years.

First time for me but unfortunately they aren't sold in my area. Had to take a little one hour drive to pick them and several other brands up . :binoculars:

I burned two bags of my Okie Gold stash over the weekend. All I can say is wow, I'm impressed. I'm a cheap skate but I bought these from Apex Pellet last year when he was cutting some deals in a bad market year for pellets. Two bags only generated about 4 tablespoons of ash compared to the other stuff I burn. Bogieb...have you tried yours yet?

I haven't seen any Stove Chow in my local HD this year but would try them again . My take on the LGs I just tried last night , not much heat and more ash then I expected . The stove had run through the night and all day , when I came home had to be shut down and cleaned . The burn pot was half full and the inside was black with soot . With the EasyBlaze I can run her straight for several days before shutting down to clean .:dremel:

Russell that drives home the point that some stoves are picky about what they eat , what works for one person maybe chit for the next . Always good to try a few before you commit to tons .

I tried a couple of bags last year - and yes I was really happy with them. I'm saving them for later in the season - they are in the garage and ready to go when the cold really hits!

I've gone through a few bags of the Spruce Pointes in my shop (Englander),
and I gotta say... I like them.. They do a great job for me out there...
I have a decent amount of other stuff in my basement for the house,
but ifffin a ran out, I would not hesitate topping off with the Pointes..
I see people all the time leaving some of the BBS, and just say to myself,
"man... I wish you would try something else!"

I think Gbreda said this before but the Spruce Pointe are right there with LaCrete. Maybe just a little more ash. Nice pellet.
