As some of you know I've had an extremely tough year and half but I was able to get back to splitting my red oak that was cut April 2015. I was only able to get 1/3 of it split before I got sick but it was all cut and waiting. Felt really good to be able to get out in the cool air and actually do something. I'm still only about 50% but considering my alternative I'm happy with where I am right now.

It's amazing how much moisture this stuff holds! The rounds that were on the ground were really saturated. It was all sitting on a tarp but didn't really help all that much. It really added a lot of weight to it that's for sure! I learned a long time ago, pics or it didn't happen....

Take it slow and easy and it will get done! If only the dogs could stack.

Thank you and you're right about that! They love hanging out in the back yard on nice days.
Haha, I lurk here all the time and it does make me feel better!
Yes you're right, slow and easy is all I can do right no but that's fine. It will get done, I'm in no rush. The dogs UN-stack for me!! You should have seen the mess they made from taking all the shards from splitting, I forgot to take pictures of that.

It's funny you say that because I noticed a few splitter dribblings in the background with your black dog:rofl:

Well dylskee, you've just joined the club of having to do little by little. Yes, occasionally it does get frustrating not being able to do more especially more at one time but we do what we have to do.
