First load cut and hauled today. Great wood from this tree.

Probably the best ash rounds I have cut in a long time. Solid wood.

Some big rounds--two wide barely fits in a 5 foot wide trailer.

2nd and last load today. Tuckered me out loading those big rounds.

Not much left of that tree after today's haul. Got some smaller stuff to cut up then on to the next ash. I guess snow is coming; could delay cutting for a while. Will see. Great day today to be outside cutting wood. 33 degrees. Perfect! My ash pile to be split continues to grow.

Looks like a great days haul. Those are some big ole rounds. They will make an ash load of BTU's.

When I lived out West for many years all I had to burn was Pine and Cottonwood. Kept me warm and happy! Now that I live in the land of hardwoods I cut and burn what I can find. A farmer friend wants his pasture cleaned up and it is full of dead ash trees, so that will be my project for some time now. Some of the ash trees are solid and some are punky -- taking them all. I hate seeing wood go to waste and whatever I don't take is going in the burn pile on his place.

Great rounds. Those would go into my excercise pile, aka: hand splitting pile. Most of what I burn is ash and will be for some time to come with the EAB, sad to see some of the big old ones go but so is life I guess.

Brett, that is some sweet ash. I love getting the big rounds like that as the wood piles up quickly.

Great Days work, there Sir... That will definitely build up your stacks at a pretty quick rate.. But that made my back ache just thinking about rolling all those bad boys....
