I changed the oil in the snowblower, got the marker sticks along the driveway (so I have a target to aim for when turning in the drive), cleaned the gutters, put the lawn furniture away and made one last pass around the house with the leaf blower.

I figured I should change the spark plug in the snowblower. I've owned it 8 years, and the machine is at least 20 years old. No idea when it was changed last, but it always ran good. I had a $10 coupon to use at the store, so I grabbed the plug and 5 bags of pellets that were on sale for 3.69/bag.

Now it's time for a beer or three.

Boxed up the bum burn pot. Boss will mail it to Don likely Monday. Took a nap and otherwise goofed off. Oh yeah moved some bags of pellets into the burn room, understand it will be getting cold. Would love to crack a brew.

went to a friends house today in Harwinton. he had five 75 foot white oaks taken down around his house with a crane, and a black walnut. and one red oak. spent 3 hours cutting firewood out of the tops. tomorrow we will cut for saw logs out of the main trunks. some real nice material.

White oak is good for equipment trailer decks, and the red we will make engine stands out of. the walnut?? what remains from cutting the 30' plus logs will be more firewood. The saw logs go to the Zagray Farm.
i'm borrowing my friends dump trailer and will load the firewood with my New Holland loader that i took up there today.
hope we don't run out of weather! it was F^*k#$G cold in the wind today:shiver::shiver::shiver:

my forearms hurt a little.. not used to swinging the saw that long anymore.

time for a nice glass of wine....or two!

Ok, the main issue with the darn things is that most metal will stretch, contract and crack or outright try to melt or loose attached non metal atoms. The real good stuff cost a life or so.

Well I was outside shooting ash into the sky. Buzzards or eagle, it didn't want any part of what I was up to....will keep an eye on my stash though in case it comes back.

What's with this driveway marker stuff.

I love driving into the drain ditch when plowing.

Nothing better than a stiff shot after digging myself out.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why it isn't stainless. Not much more expensive or harder to work with. Handles heat far better.

This one will be and likely last as long as whats in my Omega. 7 years now and only a crack by the ignitor hole which I mended easily.

I bet just putting a SS bottom would last that long even with the state its in now. We should try for giggles!! ;)

My liner has 24 tons thru it and hasn't got one spot burned out/melted or warped. And its thinner to begin with.
