    So whoever was my secret Santa, thank you. Today I received a good book, American Chestnut. Now this looks like some very interesting reading. It is The life, death and rebirth of a perfect tree. Funny that for a long time I've thought about more reading on what happened to the chestnut. I've also considered trying to grow some here although we are not in the original range of the tree. But, they should grow here based upon where they grow in the New England states.
