    Scotty Overkill,
Nice layout for Christmas. I too am a O scale guy with 3 rails.
I had some HO stuff given to me by customers and now have that to setup.
I call running toy trains, "the old guys art". I enjoy the "escape" running my gives me.

    Hey Griz,

When I stop over, will it classify as a mini-GTG? :)

Good idea...if I can't do that, I will bring some crayons along and Griz and I will just draw pictures of what happened.

I got crayons AND colored pencils. The train will be in the garage, so we might not have power to it.

My brothers and I had a American Flyer train set. It was elaborate. set up on a table the size of a ping pong table. Had all sorts of accessories. My older brother and I went off to war. Parents gave the set to my younger brother. He has it boxed up someplace. No matter. Fond memories. I'm glad I stumble on this. Helped me think of something good.

    This is cool.
Stepdad had a whole setup on a big piece of plywood in the basement. Mountains, tunnels, the whole deal.

Same here Larry. My 2 brothers and I had a similar setup on a ping pong size table with HO scale. My oldest brother still had the layout but I think he had to dismantle it after his last move.
