Metered Data preventing printing

    Arrg, I set my win10 on "metered" so the updates would quit blowing through my monthly data allowance (I have the biggest package offered), but now my printer says the "metered connection" is preventing from printing.

    Any ideas?

    Well for now, I guess turn auto-updates off and go back to reg connection instead of metered?

    I still refuse win 10,is not good unless you have fast net with unlimited data.

    Win 10 being metered can also affect your watching videos,youtube,and stuff like that.

    :headbang: Its a square on the back of the printer, not RJxx. I ask WWW to get computer box from garage tonight and hope its in there :picard:

    Any serial port there?But bet I have several usb to the square upstairs,from old printers,not that it would do you any good.Could also try going offline(from the net)and turn off any other devices that use your wifi,then try print.

    Thats actually the main cause, I am taking an online course with a bunch of videos, so now I cannot afford to have win updates during my data times :rolleyes:

    Yippie Kai Yay!! I am printing again, (its only been down since late Sept :bug:) No idea what I did, but badbob suggestion to print offline, well, I could not get the wireless turned off even with it plugged in & port changed, computer and printer both restarted a few times. I'm wondering if it was in a giant brain fart error from me laying stuff on it that sat on the buttons, and our cat walks on it too. However I got there and whatever I did I pressed and held down the right right buttons long enough and its working via LAN. :dex:
