I tried converting to dual pawl as the kit I ordered contained the parts for dual pawl. I put it back to single pawl because at one time when I was checking one of the pawls was "chewed" up on the end where it engages the flywheel. Perhaps it was the way I was starting the saw?

Thanks so much MasterMech for what you are doing for me. Don't worry about rushing to get the saw finished as I know you have plenty to do. I am good on the wood front and staying toasty warm. Big hugs and best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving..

Good on you MM. I have several Pawl parts I can send if you need them (although I'm sure you have more than me!).

I've been especially pokey about getting this one done. I'm exhausted lately and while I would look forward to some shop time after work, lately it's been all I can do to drag my azz in the house. I was up to 40hrs just after lunchtime yesterday but that's nothing new on a short holiday week when we are often stretched thin with folks out on vacation.

Did a muff mod to a close friends MS 270 yesterday . Opened the exhaust post to almost 3x what stock was and the added one little "fish gill" outlet the lower right side. I also cutout most of the baffle. .

Only done one other 270 but it ran and sounded great !!

Painted and added slot on the lower right!

Most nights the kids are in bed long before I get home. I'm fighting off a cold and lost my voice. Been trying to infect the wife all day.....:picard: :D

Mine gave me a cold or something .

He will be up till 10 to 11 many days so I would have to get home pretty late to not catch him.

Don't worry about the saw, get rest if you need it; health is important and rest is needed for good health.

Don't forget the zinc; not sure if taking zinc helps or not but studies have shown that people have low zinc during colds so I take zinc and vitamin C when I am coming down with a cold.

I usually take both as supplements all the time.
