Scotty will appreciate this one. LOCUST! There is so much to choose from down on the ground, he is having the property logged so anything they drop there is plenty to choose from. The loggers take the main trunk and leave the rest. This tree has a hollow center though so they left the whole thing. The load here is from the split in the tree up. The main trunk is still there for the next load I get. Awesome selection there too, cherry, maple, white and red oak, locust, and walnut. I like this, drive up and decide which wood I want. Trying to load up on the good stuff first then come back for cherry later. A few other guys were there too but there is so much wood I couldn't ever get close to taking it all.

Second load today, I think this is most of the locust there. But I haven't ventured into the woods, these two came from the yard.

I'd be tempted to rent a large dump-truck to haul away as many logs as you could before the good stuff is picked over. Either way though....I'd take any wood and it sounds like there's plenty for you there. Happy for you. We'll see the score at the get together.

Aint that fun Swags ? Like a kid in a candy store. I've been in a few places that they logged, actually still have quite a bit to pick from at one spot down this way that was logged. If we don't get some of it out this year it is going to go bad. The woods on this spread is only accessable when conditions are just right even with my friends John Deere.
