    Yup, pretty much.

Cleaned the little guy today and set some pellets in the pot so it is ready to go.

The biggun needs cleaning but likely not until Sunday.
Gotta clear the fire box, yank the baffles and then give it a royal SUCK with the leafer.

Probably should add a few drops of oil in the exhaust motor bushings too.

Get things ready for the nasty weather that will get here soon enough.

    Ahhh well.

Soon it will be time to clean the AC and get it ready to go.

    Musical stoves here ARRRRRRRRRRRGHG.

All day yesterday it was only about 40 F then along about 6 last night it went up to about 48-50 F ahead of a frontal system, and so did the temp in the house.

By 11 pm it was 74 F in here Nooooooooooooooooo
Decided to shut off the big Whit and set the Stat on the Quad 1000 at 68 F and let it deal with the issue as the house cooled off over night.

Got up at 6:30 am and the house was about 67 F

Quad was still quite warm so it had recently cycled.

Fired the Little Whit and backed the Stat down on the Quad to the safe zone (65 F just in case)

Weather looks to be a roller coaster for the foreseeable future, so we will likely be playing with all the stoves off and on.

Just got home from the Daughter and Son in laws house warming.

The built a 3000 ft house this summer, and what a palace it is.

Triple car garage and a great view of the east slope of the coastal mts.

Just could not talk them into a couple pellet stoves :picard:
    Gas heat a gas fireplace.

Stoked up the little Whit and the house is cozy.

Unless you let it set on Low/Med on a 24/7 basis. Then it wont. A Quad has to start, heat, then shut down. It will not idle between heat cycles

High/Low is what my pellet furnace is set to now. It's always creating a little heat, but room temp still drops. So it kicks back up to the desired heat setting once the temp drops

Swapped the mower and blower around in the shed for easier access. Hopefully I won't need it until I get my bike into storage then can move the blower into the garage.

Took the last nice day (most likely) to paint the cinder block chimney that my boiler and water heater are plugged into. I painted the part in the basement, not the part outside. But I needed to be able to throw the cats out in the pen so I could open the basement door and allow the fumes to escape. I have enough fire breathers down there that I didn't want a chance of an accidental ka-boom. The pilot light on the boiler was out and I turned the P61a off (it has OAK anyway, but why chance it). Water heater pilot light was still on, but that was an acceptable risk since it is 5-6' away from the chimney.

There were surface cracks that the paint filled in, plus it just makes it so much brighter and not light sucking. You can't tell in the before picture, but they actually originally painted it a flat, very light green (EVERYTHING in this house, and outside, was green at one point). It kept that corner dark - although you can't tell how dark, you can see a definite difference - especially since neither was taken with a flash and the first pic is fuzzy because of the darkness.

Oh yeah, ignore the mess in that other room - I just blew that moldy, crumbling wall out a couple of weeks ago, and then started doing all the work on my bedroom closet, so tools are still out from that.

That is always the saddest day-when the bike and blower swap places :(

How much snow are you expecting from this system?

Had the pellet stove going this morning, big changes in store with up to 6" of the white stuff and WC tonight around 10°F

Being pretty much central NH, here not much. Lets put it thius way, my truck is in the garage nose first. When snow is predicted overnight it gets backed in so I can open the door and drive straight out-no turning around before going down the slight hill of a driveway.

But parts of NH might get up to 6" in western, northern and high elevation. Mt Washington likely getting at least 6 and probably more.

6" "white stuff" makes me think of a Weird Al Yankovich song about the stuff in the center of Oreo Cookies..

Then I realized you were talking about the Stuff No One Wants (other than a few FHCers).
