Me too. At most it's shorts for me at 80.

Once I get back home from deer hunting I'll get a pic of my new slippers my wife got me.

I gotta admit that this is one thread that puzzles me. I hate wearing shoes/slippers/socks in the house. Whole advantage of having a wood stove (from 2000 until 2013) and pellet stoves (2013 forward); isn't cold enough in the house to need to cover the tootsies :fire:. Thermostat set at 69, basement stove set at 70. Naturally, both those settings will go up as the temps drop thru the season.

Thank you for this thread DaveGunter, I am compelled to share about my slippers. My Hawaiian ones went bye bye, (stole the insoles for old hiking boots instead of stupid walking boot for broken bone in foot). They ran the same sale again this year (3 years after Hawaiian ones). Not as purdy, but sturdy structure and nice sole to protect from cold floors, and lil one likes the sequins lol.

I would agree but with foot issues going barefoot is not an option for me anymore. I find the cement floors of the basement rather cold as well. My daughter gave me some Isotoner slippers for Christmas and they are nice and cosy.

Luckily I don't have foot issues such as you have gone thru (KOW!!!!). And, the P61a does a pretty fine job of keeping the basement concrete floor warm enough that I don't need anything on unless I'm using power tools.

Last summer in half the basement I installed a plastic spacer/subfloor with plywood on top, so that it actually feels warm even next to the door to the garage. So the only bare concrete now is the half with the laundry room, pellet storage, boiler and stove.
