Thanks G - I see some test bags in my (and Bogieb's.. ) immediate future. Started out with 32 bags of LG on the front porch this season, now down to 5 - (27) bags burned to-date since September. Soaking up all the good info. here, lots of different Brands to try. The new burn pot, baffle plate, and updated baffle plate bracket we installed on the Francesca in May '16 really have improved the stove, to the point of a true multi-day burner, we're super happy about that.. Shutting down every 12 hours to clean was getting tiresome. Although the Francesca's tiny ash pan means we still need to shut down every 2-3 days to do routine cleaning, or ash starts flying -everywhere- during burning, once the ash level reaches the top of the pan - looks like popcorn popping (says the Mrs.). Maybe we'll start burning corn.. Budget permitting, we're thinking another ton of LGs, a ton of LaCrete's, after that, some Olympus DF rocket fuel.. But these Spruce Pointe, and True North Heat pellets based on PoolGuyinCT's excellent review in his thread sound mighty interesting.. It's gonna be a fun season testing new pellets !
You guys.. It's like the 'Pellet Pig Criminal Network' , - I might even get that channel on DirecTV. Way to go MtDew !
As I have learned from you, and others, on this forum.. I am just a 'young grasshopper' in the world of 'Pellets & Beer Kung Fu' - you Sir, are a Zen Master.. Nice score this morning !
In this case I really think you will like the Spruce Pointe. I havnt burned them in a few years but the ash was very low and light/fluffy. If you have access to a trailer, you might end up wanting to haul a few ton back at this price
