OWB - Outside Wood Burner? We bought it from Menards. It was manufactured by a company that markets the same stove under Fire Chief or a name similar to that. This is our third year with it and I think we have almost learned how to load on these mild days so does not cook us out of house.

Close, but OWB intends to mean outdoor wood boiler. I realize that it seems like splitting hairs, but if you have an outdoor furnace instead of an outdoor boiler, there is a large difference.

This is an image I found of the menards brand I think.

There was a member who was asking about these this past spring. I think you may just have become the source of info for them!

That is exactly what we have. We are pleased with it. The mess stays outside except after sawing. Again, our biggest complaint would be that it is difficult to keep the house comfortable in weather like this with cool mornings and warm afternoons.

We have had a few of those days recently. I just open a few windows if I get it too hot.

Ah hah, you have a outdoor hot air wood furnace. It get confusing because some will call their outdoor boiler (OWB) a furnace too.
That is a Shelter brand, right? FireChief does make those...you're pretty happy with it eh? OHAWF were kinda popular around here a few years ago but seem to have kinda died off now.
These light heat days in the fall and spring are good days to have a small wood stove in the house...just to take the chill off. Then when it gets good and cold you can fire up the "big dog", that's what we do...it works out really well...and the best part is that the stove doesn't even eat out of my main stacks, I feed it splitter trash, shorts, uglies, you know...junk stuff.
    Oh, and welcome to FHC!

We have had to open windows. In the past we have ran our propane furnace to take the chill off in the morning, though we havn't done that this fall. Yes, I think you are correct about it being a Shelter made by FireChief. Thanks for the welcome to FHC.

Okay, I don't see a way to ask questions privately, so I'll do it here so everyone can see my ignorance. On my phone, when I select upload file and then choose file, I get a box that says "Choose an action". My choices are camera, camcorder, voice recorder, and documents. Naturally I choose camera. So when select it, my camera opens in the picture taking screen without the gallery icon at bottom left that I see when I open the camera from the home screen. I did take pictures and they are in my gallery. I do not know how to access them to upload them without leaving this forum. Any efforts to help me may be hopeless.
