Have explored many options but getting the suction device to deal with a large container is gonna be difficult without a serious air mover.

What we are doing now is pretty good and we have a barrel caddy (3 wheeled gizmo with a handle that allows a 55 to be moved easily.

As much as I would love a zero labor way of doing this, the likelihood of that are zero as well.

Just eliminating the crawling in and out of the dumpster many times during the process and having to left each 5 gallon pail up and dump it in the barrel has saved a lot of manual labor.

POSSIBLY a large drop gate in the bottom of a custom fashioned tub on the vacuum could be mounted over large container and as the vacuum bucket fills the container could be allowed to dump into the large box.

My ???? is the extra cost to build more stuff and install it.

Currently the extras include the 6.5 horse vacuum, a 26 inch diameter piece of plywood and a few plastic fittings.

All these cost less than $200 for the lot and stores easily.

The barrels as they are emptied get stacked up in the out building until it's time to refill or the next fall season comes around.

My worry in the search for El Dorado is the very real likelihood of diminishing returns.

Possibly we may add a more central bottom suction port to the dumpster, but even that will not allow for a complete evacuation without directing the suction wand around the inside of the dumpster.

A dumpster with a sloped or conical bottom to allow the entire contents to flow to the exit point would be sweet, but again $$$$$$$$$ and is it worth it in search of El Dorado.

If we did many many loads the addition of extra measures would be more likely a reasonable endeavor.

With 3 loads per season the extra cost is ???????????

I think we have reached equilibrium and just need to perfect the procedure to keep extra steps and wasted motion to a minimum.

That's awesome news. Just close the border behind them so they can't come back.

You know, I have seen tourists follow a moose into the woods from the side of the road to "get that picture". Always shake my head saying, thats a bad idea.

I use to think that it was bad because the moose could turn and charge, know I know better-his buddies are in there and they are packing heat
