It's hard to find a better looking wood than hickory. It's got such a distinct color with the light and dark.

Ah, those are ok. Not great, but better than the worn out fronts on my kawi bayou. You'd be fine with those, but now that you've got new ones, you'll be real gooder. On my kawi, it's only in the snow while towing the wood sled when it's full that front traction is an issue. I'm trying to find a set of 12" rims and tires to replace the stock 11" rims on mine. What a limited selection of tires for 11" rims.

Upon closer look, the old tires in front is a lot better than the one on the background. That's how mine are on the kawi. Goofy kid that I bought it from did a lot of road running.

Agreed! I put down 3 rooms of random width for my late mom in our family home-2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 inch planks-hauled it all on my 1/2 ton Chevy-that was 2001, looks great to this day-nothing wears like hickory...the color is timeless...

Those are both the front tires Horkn - The old man I bought it off of only rode it on black-top-I bought the 12' LoneWolf trailer and the 2006 500 Foreman for the price of the bike alone-the back tires are fine-the front were worn out from asphalt only driving---I needed them for the logs I pull...thats what I told her anyway...

I've got the same exact splitter with the Honda engine and I love it. I'm assuming you're happy with yours also. Your comment on stacking up higher equals more air flow and quicker drying has always been my philosophy as well. And I drool over your wood shed.

I do love it my friend-Its a brute-Honda smooth as silk, starts on first pull-if you dont, run premium gas in it to guard against the sludge...and yes, elevation is key to quick and thorough drying-the woodshed was a long thought out vision to maximize the elements in my locale..I have iterated the specifics many times here. I hope I got it right-so far I see oak ready in 18 mos or less, all else is ready within 12...thank you for the kind words , stay warm and well...and if you're ever this way...beer is on me...

Thank you Sir, and the same to you if you're ever in this neck of the woods.
