2016 Trail Work

Until the next storm!

 

I can tell it's a challenge to keep it looking good

 

It would be easier if those darn bugs would stop killing the pine, I have another 5-6 that need to be dropped that are in one area so I'll do two next week and then burn them.

 

Yep, all kinds of bugs are real botch.
You can get warmed up by the fire if need be anyway

 

I had a mole and a chipmunk show up on the rocks when I was burning today, I think they were wondering why their living quarters were warming up so much.

 

Nice work there thewoodlands. Looks good. Man, does that fire and bench look inviting!

 

The Basswood is cleared from the trail, I decided to split it so I'll mix it in with the pine that needs stacking.

I should be stacking later this coming week.

Most of the stumps I pulled today were smaller and they had been rotting for about four years. I pulled 12 stumps today with the last being the bigger one (not pictured) after my sister left I went back out to pull three more but never took the picture taker.

About four of them were on the walking trail so we won't have to worry about them anymore.

 

Just a few more.

 

What do you do with the stumps burn them ?

Some I will and a few of them will get buried in a bigger hole.

 

I was thinking you might bury them but I didn't know.
No problem making a big hole with the

 

It sure beats cutting them down with a saw.

jatoxico ,the real fun begins next year because the wife wants a storage shed built. That will mean about 10-12 pines will need to come down before we can start.

 

That will be a good project. For wood, equipment or both?

 

I'm thinking for the tractor and some of our other equipment.
