Good lookin spot there Horkn . Nice ride too!

Caffeine going down. Sun is coming up and it's only 6:30 now. That is a good thingy. But, I don't want to start making noise this early on Sunday morning, and bug the neighbors. So I'll have to relax a bit. Oh well. Then to work on the barn!

We are going to my parents for dinner tonight. My Mom is making Meatloaf and Baked Potatoes! We are bringing the tossed salad. (And maybe some cookies. Or brownies. Or .......)

The dozer is a D6T, the excavator by the railcars is a 323F, I'm loading with a 325C, and there's an old 953C back by the mudhole.

Big Iron :dex: still amazes me that one little control handle drives them dozers. Sure beats the old nut knockers and brake pedals and twelve other levers it used to take a guy needed to be half monkey half octopus to operate one

And the fact that that dozer has GPS controlled full automatics, and the 323 has grade control. I'm not exhausted after crawling in and out all day checking my own grade. Not as young and spry as I used to be.

Suppose to be nice this morning so campinspecter and the supervisors are heading out for a load of wood. I think I will spend the morning shredding old papers. Heel walking is coming along but I still have to spend time with my foot up.

I think we are in for a storm later today.

The funeral went well. Korean war vet.

Then off to make a load of wood and today, closed up the cottage (plumbing) and removed most of the food stores from it. Hope to sleep there at least once more this year before the freeze, we'll see.

Now for the bad part....I had good intentions (really!) of getting one more load of wood but reneged on it! Already feeling a little guilty, but sciatica kicked in and gave me a little reminder of whats to come if I had.

Those joysticks are pretty darn expensive, and have long lead times too. :headbang: Many are German.
