My suggestion is to consider putting some inexpensive carpeting on top. I'm usually walking into my bedroom closet w/ bare feet, and the carpeting makes it sooo nice. I even had wool carpeting in my old house master bath.....that was da bomb!!

Just my 2 cents. Rest of the job looks good!

My closet it 2' x 3' - no walking in. The box for around the plumbing will ensure that I can't even stand in there. The door is only 18" wide! It's barely big enough to stand in there without the shelf and clothes pole in there - I had to use a very small roller to paint as a regular roller would have given me issues.

    Friday was "DA BIG DAY"
We were able to get a second tub of shells and we gave the new equipment a really good shake down cruise.

Sadly the plant had a large semi come in earlier and drained the entire contents.
Friday the weather was so nice we just had to take advantage of it.

Temps near 60 F and no clouds to speak of made the job enjoyable.

Only Caveat was that we could not start loading until around 4 pm
It was nearing 5 pm by the time we got started actually unloading.

It takes nine + 55 gallon drums to hold the entire load and we had 2420 pounds on board.

As this was the first go round with the "Super Sucker" I had no idea exactly how things were going to work.

The tests done in the basement were positive, but there are always bugs that crop up in any new plan.

We started off with a bucket under the drop gate and sucked the material out of it and let the drum fill.

The notion of how would we know when the drum was full crept in, but that worry was soon answered as the vacuum starts screaming when the shells pile up and stop the suction hose on the side heading to the dumpster.

We did not have a foam gasket/seal on the adapter yet and the need for one became real evident by the second drum which had a tweaked top rim and would not seal good enough to build a good vacuum in the barrel.

A quicky addition of some pergo floor pad duck taped in place remedied the isue.

(New 1/4 inch thick closed cell foam on its way)

Once we got a rhythm going and were in the groove things were very smooth with one of us watching the barrel and steadying the suck hose and the other handling the hose end in the shells.

Until the material stops flowing from the gate we can sit and suck out of the bucket, but after that it gets more interesting.

The long wands can be added and stuck through the gate, but I found that stepping up on the fender of the trailer and dangling the wand over the side into the shells works sweet.

For long stretches the thing will do fine by just keeping the hose in a spot and letting the material slide down into the nozzle.

As the contents dwindles it takes a bit of back and forth motion to clear an entire area all the way to the bottom of the tank.

Far more standing and watching with this set up.

Before it was physical all the time.

Getting started in the morning and having daylight and "fresh bodies" will really make this sweet.

That is all 3 of my closets - yep, I have a whopping 18 sq/ft of closet space in this house. - smaller than most walk-in closets.

Walk in closets are way cool

My daughter and son in laws new 3000 ft "shack" has a walk in that's bigger than many master bedrooms
    Thing is huge

I think it is 12 x 16 feet with tons of shelves and cuby holes plus other amenities.

probably did the last leaf vacuum operation today. had to hurry, suddenly the days got shorter by an hour....i don't like it!!!!!!! I have a substantial pile of ground up leaves to push over the bank and join the leaves, rotten wood and bark from the wood stove cutting splitting operation.
did not have time to bring in any wood this year, but still have probably a three year stash for the workshop. Next year i need to get 2 or 3 cord to replenish the stash and let it season.

was working on the Fairbanks on saturday when a heavy casting slipped... i used my big toe to slow it down (not intentionally!!) lots of black and blue, some oozing of bodily fluids, etc....hurts too! i don't think it's broken, but you just can't walk right without your big toe! better today with some advil...................and some bourbon:thumbs:
