Can't buck'em till they are on the ground.

Big red oak been dead about 3-4 years. Finally got it down. It had a pretty good back lean over the fence. So a little help from a skid steer was in order. Been slowly working on getting it cleaned up and bucked up.

 

Got er down in the right spot, Good for the future

Oh yeah, that will be a lot of future btu's!

 

Gotta a grass free spot ready for the hot dog / S`mores fire
Need a couple rounds to sit on
Good to go

When they lean the wrong way then a little help is the way to go by pulling it over. Looks like it landed in a good spot.

Slowly getting the red oak worked down. Hit it pretty hard today and got a lot of it CSS. :stacke:

Man, you've got a bit of a hill there for that nice oak!

 

Hardly any branches to dispose of too, good tree to cut up and good job.

 

Not always, you can buck in the air. Just kidding. Looks like a nice time and great when they are close so the travel time is nothing. Glad it's going to keep you warm....TWICE!

 

With a man lift like that who would need a set of tree gaffs.
