Had a woodstove fire this weekend (Sat). But it's been pretty warm here. I think we hit 76°-77° today

I rode into work also yesterday - stove was on and it was 38*. It got up to 59 for about 30 seconds when the sun broke out of the heavy clouds at 4:30 pm.

PS - I hate all you guys that had 70*s and 80*s :p

hey B at least it wasnt low 40's like earlier this week. Right now. I will take what we got. Upper 50's felt pretty good at lunch time when I got out of the jail cell for a bit.

I've been disappointed every day this week - high temp has been about 10* less than the weather guessers predicted.

Yeah, they have forecasted warmer than actual all week. I hope that trend doesnt carry over to the winter.

Wed was suppose to be close to 70, but barely hit 60. I have found that certain weather guessers are more accurate than others. You can watch WMUR and sometimes get 3 different temp guesses from 3 different people. Kevin Skarupa and Josh Judge tend to be pretty conservative in their forecasts and fairly accurate.

Been seeing Wills favorite frostys in orange packaging for a while around here. Think they refer to it as a "trophy can"?

Stove wasn't on when I got home. Pretty warm in the house even with little sun today. Shortly after sittin down to watch some of the news(mainly the WS highlites as old guy could stay up pat the 6th inning). And the stove fired up. First time in a few day.

Yep! Had Willis as a guest at my place. It was just a Get Together . Literally . . No work was done, just a relaxing weekend of friends . No saws, no splitting, no stacking (of wood or pellets), etc.

Those are Trophy cans of Busch Light (Blue Smoothie) !

I was drinking a Miller Light (White Smoothie)!!

Will is a great man in my book! He brought me a half dozen bags of pellets that are nowhere near me. Some Blazers (Yes!!) and some White Pine softie AWF's!!! :dex:

Also thanks for clearing up the can issue, it looks like Will is drinking an Orange Crush soda which would mean that you had entered the Twilight Zone :wacky:

I love the Low setting on my 1200.

Even when it was around 10°-20° I would let that stove run on low 24 hrs a day for about 4-6 days before I shut it down to clean.

Have you checked the ash pan gasket with the dollar bill test? My ash pan gasket was bad from the get go and the door gasket I changed in year 2 I believe . It had a couple spots that were bad. To many bends/angles to keep proper tension for to long. IMO

I think the door is fine but can see some sparks fall bye the bottom ash pan occasionally . I'll have to try the dollar bill test . Thanks
