One of mine is on now................."Guess Who's Coming To Dinner". I know: for a "big time right winger" like me, I shouldn't like this movie.....................but from my "thespian" days in high school, I do!!!!! It's great.
"Strange Brew" - Bob and Doug Mackenzie....Canada's best export! Monty Pythons "Holy Grail" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" are just about as awesome!
Man......WAAAYYY too many. Wizard of Oz. Got a kick outta the cowardly lion. War of the Roses Money Pit
Oh my god, my list would be very long. So many good movies out in the different genres. Original Star Wars - sci-fi Longest Day - War TORA TORA TORA - war Harry Potter - fantasy Remember the Titans - based on true story. Macfarland - based on a true story Sound of Music - Musical Grease - Musical Mamma Mia - Musical Patton - war Casablanca - Love The Shawshank Redemption - drama The God Father Captain America I could go on and on. So many great movies. Many of the older of movies are my favorites. Far too many reboots lately.
I seem to like "trilogy" movies: Indiana Jones Star Wars episodes IV, V, VI Lord of the Rings The Dark Knight The Toy Story movies Jason Bourne series The Godfather If you can't tell, I'm in my 30's! But I do appreciate pretty much anything with Clint Eastwood like the Dirty Harry movies. And I love the comedies from the 80's with Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, John Candy, and I'll throw Chris Farley in that group as well. Just about all the comedies I've seen this decade have been a HUGE letdown!
I'd rather watch the Fireview than any movie in the last 20 years.... Tommy Boy and A Night At The Museum were pretty funny Oh, and The Expendables was good
One of my all time favs is a little known movie from 1985 starring Eric Roberts and Jon Voight called Runaway Train. Coolest ending ever:
One of my other favs is the original Jaws, love the scene where they're singing show me the way to go home when Jaws attacks the boat......you know the one
I've got a varied taste in movies, but none are 'new' by any means. Below are some that come to mind: Die Hard (1,2,3) Lethal Weapon (1,2,3) Any of the Dirty Harry films Blues Brothers Animal House Blazing Saddles Airplane Major League Caddyshack
Gonna watch "V for Vendetta" tomorrow night, it is an annual tradition on the 5th of November. "The Great Escape" is a great one.
Why no love for -"The Human Centipede"? Superb acting and the plot twists keep you connected to the one before it.
