Even if it's a out n up, 15/16" wouldn't stop me....raise the stove, or if the outlet is far enough from the wall, a slight angle from the stove adapter?

That's my thought, it's only an inch. Surely there is a simple solution to work with that, without a massive rip and replace job. We are getting ahead of ourselves though. First Lordz needs to get this situation sorted with the dealer, before we select and install his new stove for him.

Let's not have any more talk of getting rid of pellets and pellet stoves. This is all going to work out for the best in the end. Fingers crossed!

Edit: Almost forgot. It's nearly Miller Time on Friday!

Is the stud threaded in or is it welded, if it's just threaded in that's an easy fix with an easy out, if it's welded in it looks like there is enough metal around the stud to drill it out and then tap it and install a threaded stud. hard to say with out seeing the stove in person but any stove tech with any mechanical ability should be able to fix it.

    Hello Lord:
The only action that gets their attention, is the money.
Major credit cards have a dispute department, that may be able to help.
    Good Luck

We have already decided whatever happens with the unit (be it this advance or another unit) is going directly on craigslist. You guys on the forums have been great and will get first crack at my pellet stash when the stove sells

Lord if you would be willing to load that thing up and take a little drive south I would gladly fix that stud for you .I'm a mechanic and my dad owns a machine shop that I have full access too so I know I can fix that thing, all it would cost you is your time and gas.

IMHO lordmetalz28, Oil, NG, LP, or the other fuels won't stay low forever. I know you pizzed, But please take a breather and think about this a bit. Get it repaired. Even if it takes going back to the factory if they can't find you another to replace it. But don't just dump it. Options are a necessity and the more the better.

I have electric, wood and pellet. May put a heat pump in some day. But I will keep all the others as often tides turn. Everyday there are new innovations and improvements. Heck even electricity may one day be back in?

Well. Im not necessarily switching I have had the natural gas here since I bought the house I even installed a 95% efficiency condensing furnace in 2010 way before I even imagined a pellet stove the bill has never been really to bad even during 2008 when the energy prices where highest ive ever seen. I originally bought my first us pellet stove as a room heater for our cathedral ceiling living room I could never seem to get warm but heating the entire house was a plus. I got a really good deal ( or.so I thought) on a 5660 and with discounts and coupons ended up paying 700$ out the door. Since day one my pellet experience has been negative going thru 3 us stoves in 2 years all warrantied to this mess with harman. Ive kept positive and found joy in hunting and ttrying new pellets as I still do this day. I crossed my t, s and dotted my I, s and went with the very best (or so I thought) with harman, never complained about the price because I understood the situation. Ive always found pellet accessories from pipe to parts priced so high it was silly. And ive spent alot of time and effort installing 4 stoves in 3 years. But what I never expected and wont tolerate is this harman attitude and hht policy of not talking to the customer. My dealer is friendly and trying his best to make me happy and harman is just road blocking everything . I no longer want to deal with harman or there bs warranty issues. If I can unload this stove while still under warranty maybe I can get what I paid or if not close. Thats my train of thought. I deserve better treatment for 4400$. My stove was not even worked on today because get this! Harman had no engineers in today to make a decision how to tell the dealer how to go about fixing this issue. And the dealer is getting reimbursed by harman so I understand his point about following protcol. But for 4400$ you call a goddammed engineer on his day off to get an answer. At least this is how I treated my paying customers when I was lead hvac tech

Just don't want you to make a rash decision. Please think about it. Even if its just a room heater. It still may come in handy. Hope everything works out for ya and sorry ya had a bad experience.

    Keep us posted!!

Is this a straight our vent or an up and out? Likely straight out as the other is easily solved with an adjustable length piece of vent.

    edit....never mind
Time to play Taps, seems his mind is made up and he's out

As others have said, feel free to keep in touch, this place isnt just about burning.
