When to cut standing dead trees?

    Nothing wrong letting gravity help get the wood out of the woods. Made it easier to load into the trailer.

    I agree! Aside from the obvious dangers of cutting on a slope which I do 75% of the time I like tossing rounds down hill. Sometimes its just a kick of the boot and other times gravity pulls the tree down like off of here. These are some ultra dry cedars that we dropped for our trout fishing trip last week. This is a burn from what I can only assume was from a lightning strike.
