We got a record high today, 77. Absolutely gorgeous outside today. No fire last night and none tonight because it's so nice out. Upper 50's and rain tomorrow. I'll see if that means a basswood fire or not when I get home.
November 2nd, 2:30am. 50 degrees. Turned boiler off. Burning nothing. Coasting from last night fire of a few Ash and a few Cherry splits.
It's 51 tonight so we'll go without a fire. If we get enough rain tonight, I'll be burning some junk pine in the outdoor fireplace tomorrow.
It's 47 this morning with about half an inch of rain expected so we're having a Cherry fire in the Liberty.
Stayed right around 32 F last night, heading for 48 F (about +9 C) for a high today, which is very warm for daytime at this time of year.Poplar n pine sticks burning, with a dash of wood shed floor garbage for the initial boost.
yesterday was gorgeous 58 not to windy.. no fire since Tuesday am.. got in at noon 48 (10 c) rainy wet damp.. living/stove room 64 degrees some pine and birch ..
Ya was wicked warm yesterday...Mowed and blowed the leaves yesterday...Lawn looks awesome for the time being...Still a few trees looking to dump a ton of leaves...
Still haven't lit the stove up yet. I think this is a new record late start. Long range forecast has us in the 60's and 40's...house stays warm enough at those temps without a fire...so I'm looking at at least mid-Nov now.
