    Same to you rottiman!

Grocery run out of the way, car washed and a Mt. Dew in the belly. Getting ready for my tree guy to come over after lunch. Taking down an elm and ash. We get to take care of the branches and all the wood.

Will snap a couple pictures when he comes, because I guess you guys like pictures? :)

    Looking really good.
What gets me is how fast those projects suck up the lumber. I know every time I go buy lumber for my project, it is never enough. Every piece of lumber costing several dollars. Then the screws $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for every box. Projects these days are big money pits. Good thing we aren't paying for the labor to build the projects!!!
Can't you bring in some gravel, wood chips or something and spread it over that wet clay you are dealing with? Not good having to be in a mud.

Well here is the before shot. The elm died this past year and the ash behind it would look bad without it.

Going out to move the bird feeder and Arbor before he shows up to take them down.

We're off to a friend's trick or treat chili party this afternoon. My wife is baking bread that she made from scratch to go with the chili.

We're bringing the dogs in costume like we did last year. I dropped off about a half cord of dry but a little punky basswood at his house last weekend. So the fire will be nice in the portable fire pit.

After a long cold wet day yesterday, the sun came out this morning, but it was just a teaser. Now it is raining again. cold and wet. Can't complain. We still have a ways to go to fill the wells back up. Mine is ok, but some folks have shallow wells with didn't stand the drought. I don't know how this works with the plants. Most of them have lost their leaves. I bet the roots are soaking it up.

Just getting ready to build my new chicken coop. Building it a little further away from the house...Plus I'm tired of bending over to get the eggs and it's just too hard to keep clean... the other coop lasted long enough to know that I enjoy those birds and the fresh eggs... now to figure out how to build a door on this thing...

Finished and properly installed the sides on the trailer. I made a closed in back too that will attach with some pins for the odd load of loam or whatever.

Headed to Littleton for the harvest festival. Many bring carved pumpkins and an outfit will line the river and islands with them at dusk. This is followed by a haunted river walk to a bonfire. Should be a good time!
