Our time is coming bud.

Driving home from work with the rain coming down heavy and expected the same for the overnight I cringed at the thought of a storm starting at this time of day a month from now because late November it could be the white chit when if it was a daytime storm it would be rain.

Feel better soon. I got a flu shot Tuesday afternoon and felt like crap that night and next morning. Hopefully that is it for the winter but I doubt it

 

Do the email thing tomorrow. I think I have the multimedia codecs all taken care of.

 

absolutely gorgeous weather today at 12,000 feet. took my wife on a tour left from Aspen, CO up to Independence Pass then to Twin Lakes. Lunch at Leadville, then on to Avon and Vail then on into Glenwood Canyon to Glenwood Springs and back to Aspen for happy hour. a great day - unbelievable scenery! great weather no coat required at 12,000 feet! happy hour = a bourbon manhattan - better than a smoothie!

My fox boston over the air reception seems to have disappeared.

 

We get USPS Sunday deliveries here in our little rural area. Except when the play games like saying delivered when they are not. I don't need Sunday deliveries but the still can happen when I put the order on Fridays.

 

Turn off your anti-skid when in 4WD (if you can). That will mess you right up and get you nowhere fast as the vehicle tries to brake whatever it thinks is spinning/skidding.

 

Yeah, gotta love when FE says it was delivered. Except it wasn't. Then you contact Amazon and they say to give it 48 hours to show up. Really? I don't care if it is over 2 days, but playing games with the "delivered" crap to make it look like the stuff was within the promised timeframe just isn't right. Never have that issue with UPS, just FE.

 

Yeah always turn off any vehicle stability control when in crappy weather but 4WD coupled with a light vehicle means you are not going anywhere on a hill unless you have the right tires. You might not need winter tires but I would find a really good all season tire that has good winter ratings. They might be more $$ and may not have the smoothest ride on the highway but you will appreciate it in the winter driving months.

J, your tires are new so changing over to winter tires might be a good option unless you could sell the new ones. BTW, what tires are on the car now? Sounds like we might want to stay clear of those in New England.

 

Heading out to see this show again Thanksgiving weekend. I have been going to this for about 12 years now and they keep getting better

Just dropped my truck off to get new tires - some good aggressive AT's that, as a bonus, are mountain/snow branded.

Don't have experience with Kumho's , but the price is right for the Road Adventure AT51, the tread is nice, and TireRack.com has good things to say about them. Getting everything, including 4-wheel alignment for ~$650 . Then I get an $80 rebate .


Oh, and they just opened a plant in GA, so it is possible they were made in USA .
