Ugh the driveway is iced completely over with about an 1/8"-1/4" of slushy ice mix on top. I hate ice...... Who else got hit with freezing rain?

Expecting 8-12 around here. Leaving for work shortly as we dont get snow days. I was questioned by one of the owners when I delayed opening the business to 10AM during a major blizzard a few years ago. The owners were away on vacation as we trudged through

The technicians are on the road, it is always their call to bagg it and stay home. I dont hold that against anyone.

Got up at 5:40 am-nothing. Looked outside at 6:10-about half an inch already in half an hour. Is it spring yet?

Snowing like hell, school is closed and mom is making hot chocolate. I'm gonna make a snow fort and go sledding. Oh darn, that was 40 years ago, I guess I'll go to work.:(

Here is what I am talking about. Solid ice on my driveway and my drive way is about 1/3 mile long down a steep incline with a 90 degree turn in the steepest part and drops off down a bank about 30 feet on one side.

5 or 6 inches of snow last nite with lots of wind.
I'm gonna' pound down a couple bacon samwitches, followed by the couch/History channel combo and then tend the wood burners and maybe blow some snow.
Hope you good people have a good day. Stay safe! Peace.

I have a friend with a family "camp" on Plum Island. A few years ago his "almost" senile widowed Mom who owns it was offered $1.5 million for it. She turned it down, even though everyone told her to sell. Today it is getting ready to get swept away... not worth a nickel.

Snowing heavy here right now. Mama got the day off from school. (;)). I got wood in the stoves and the house is 73'F while outside it's snowing heavy but no wind, just made breakfast for my honey, and now we've got some mellow on I'll get out later and snowblow and clean up the steps and deck etc.

Tomorrow I'll be up Mt. Wachusett making the first run of the day on fresh powder. (Called "the milk run".)

Nothing more than a light powdering here, but the winds are pushing it around well enough to make some good drifts. Supposed to get up to 3 this afternoon.

We have slick roads up this way, the Budweiser truck had an accident, the other vehicle that hit the truck or was hit by the truck was gone (taken on a flatbed tow truck), they had the road closed down for about 20 minutes.

The weather on TV this morning had the Winter Storm Warning off, on the computer it is still on, WTF!

That's a shame. It can be really hard dealing with the realities of older parents if decisions and plans were not made ahead of time. I know, some folks just will not even think about it, talk about it or do anything about it… and won't even listen to their adult kids. My wife and I had parents who "got it" and planned ahead. Wish there were a lot more like them. Miss them every day.

Filling the pellet stove at camp. It is a pretty day down here. Roads are slick here as well. Two cars off the road in my travels to town. Now I have to drive about 6-7 miles to take dog to vet. I'm not a Bud drinker, but any beer truck off the road is a cause for concern!
