Is that a hard and fast rule that you are done cutting for the winter now even if you have a warm-up? Yes, going toward Willow can change the temperature a lot! Sort of like going to the UP from Detroit! lol

As for the heated grips, yes indeed! I love them.

If the road in were to go ice free, I'd go in for more
    "Weather permitting"
Tough part is the 84 mile round trip to find out if the road is good.

Got to take the trailer for the atv or I'd go for a PU load.
No way I'm carrying the wood that far
All the "Easier" stuff is long gone.

    Cutting a 5° wasn't fun
Might go for a 1/3 load when it warms up .
Probably all I could get in our short daylight now anyway.

Understand Dave. And that is not flat land you have to contend with on the roads which makes a huge difference.

They are awesome. When I ordered my 346xp it was just as the 550's came out and the dealer only had a xpg with the heated grips, gave it to me at no extra cost. It gets almost too hot, but I've never used it in 5 degrees, maybe down to 25.

Awesome pictures too, would love to visit Alaska someday. Not ready for that weather yet though.

Yes for sure that looked a little nervy with the snow, I hope it warms up for your sake and especially for us hoarders so we can see some more of your adventures.

Yes, a saw with heated handles would be really good for me. I cut a lot of my firewood in the winter.

Until then, I could put heated grips on the quad.

The atv hot grips are nice to have this time of the year.
The older you get, the more the little things matter & make it more enjoyable

Plenty of small dry wood there to start a good fire,
maybe I'll do that next time I go cut when it's 5° or colder (NOT gonna happen ) LOL :)

    Wench????? really?????

I can sit at the computer for short sessions. No 2 hour surfing sessions on FHC. I can read it on my phone but it is too hard to response especially as I have this real aversion to making grammar, formatting and spelling mistakes. Bothers me no end.

    Wench???? really????

Now you know why it bothers me no end as that is so much part of my job - proofreading!
