37 here only going up to 41 today; this will be my "groundhog day" season as every day will be silver maple shorties and white oak nights. Such a joy to be tending and watching the fire again.
It's just red maple with curl and fungus. I'll snap a pic tonight when I get home from purgatory....... errr i mean work.
That should be WHEN we lose power... same Temps here bouncing around freezing I'm to low for snow but Jay Peak.. has over 2 feet so it's coming down the mountain... burning birch and red maple

..... spoken with wisdom! I've heard that y'all got some ski trails open. For work, we drove past cannon and it was obvious someone couldn't hold out any longer and just got up there. The snow was only a few inches deep.
Sitting in balmy +5 C, going down to 0 C tonight. (40 to 32 ish F). Plus, there's no trace of snow left anywhere.
Damp 50s today...dropping into mid 30s tonight. More silver maple, basswood and pine. Loving me some fall weather! Said it's suppose to get near 80 in a couple days though.
