That would be quite the reaction.

If it wouldn't have been in Portland, there may have been chainsaws popping out of pickup trucks to clear the obstruction.

This is what I've been doing the last three days. Finally got to the point where is was safe and stable enough to chop her down the rest of the way with the hoe. On the ground in a pile at 5:30 tonight, perfect timing. Too spent to get a final picture tonight. Sketchy at best is how I would describe it.

Thanks. She is feeling nauseated and aches. That could be from the bite, or from the antibiotic, Doxycycline. I contracted Lyme disease a few years ago. Had to have two courses of the antibiotic to calm things down. I wasn't properly diagnosed until a few weeks after the bite. By then I had a huge cellulitis that was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Just torture. My wife's is nothing like that. Horrid itch at the bite site and now the aches and nausea. I have the tick that bit her. It isn't engorged. I can't tell what the tick is because my eyesight isn't good enough. I am going to see if it is a deer tick or not.

savemoney , I wish a speedy recovery for your wife. Drinking water helps clear the body of unwanted things, a little extra water when not well helps the process along. Thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

Slept in this morning to catch up on some sleep. Stocked the wood boiler, grabbed a couple donuts and drink on way out the door. Now at doctors office so my son can get his allergy shots. (Once every three weeks.)

Hopefully today we can finish loft floor and get started on walls up there. Weather does not look good for Thursday and Friday. Snow/rain.:picard:

The usual spring filling o' the wood room was delayed until yesterday. Sure wished I hadn't but a project and work kept it from happening. Started filing last nite and the mud room and wood room stink. Damdamp wood !

Took me almost 1/2 hr to catch up on the news. Happy Anniversary savemoney and Happy Birthday to those I missed on the Birthday thread. I just can't spend long at the computer right now.

Missing you all. Healing is going well I think but it will be Wednesday next week for my first checkup on the progress. the coast is being hit by a couple of storms right now but I hope it will be nice for my trip down to the doctor's.

    Everyone have a good week.

Doxycycline can be rough on the stomach. I can understand why she would have nausea from it. Hoping the aches and pains will disappear soon.

Hey all. Finally able to take a minute to post a couple pictures of the trip I took this last weekend.

Was lucky enough to get invited to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Austin Texas.

Made the "short" drive from Northwest Iowa to Texas last Thursday/Friday.

Watched the practices of Friday, practice and qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday then jumped in the car and drove back after the race. Had great weather and a super time.

Our friend Suresh joined in. He lives in Austin. He was a roommate in college of my brother and later me.

A Ferrari at turn 12, 13 and 14 on Fridays practice.
