    HL my Harman dealer called the mothership and they told him the unit with that serial number was manufactured on 9/27/2004. Didn't know they could get the exact date!

    don't forget the Advance is the oldest of the autoigniting Harmans, and has been around a LONG time.........

    My salt in post 17 was in direct response to your post 15. If you read the entire thread I was looking to help a friend determine the year of the stove. Don2222 told me in post 7 if I had the serial number that would go a long way in helping determine the year of manufacture. I posted the serial number and you jump in the middle and say "why bother? Excuse me for being a bit put out LW.....

    but, the title clearly states its "10-12" years old, and you're interested in its value, right?
    Value is exactly the same for any stove in that range.......if you know the age, and all stoves of that age will be worth the same, in the same condition, why bother? :whistle:
