we did a truck load of oak today and will finish wed. and there is a load of maple inbound ,im glad i have friends that need some wood , as i have no more room.
umm I want to be your friend! I got the 5 to 8 acres to store and process on transportation will be a problem though nice @unclefess and to you setting good example on PPE!
i must admit one of the reasons i wear ppe is to keep chips out of my boots ,i would be happy to share ,vt isn't that far
if you were near nashua ( be glad your not ) i could arrange a delivery ,hows the scenery this week ?
several tree services give it to me ,i am in the metrowest area ( concord/lexington ),they make there money with the removals ,the wood is a hassle to them ,one company has there yard in billerica and the log truck driver is always willing to get rid of it as there is not enough room at the shop ,and then they have to truck it out to the mt. wachussett area where it gets chipped and is used in a power plant.
Sounds like you have a good thing going! Along the the coast it's another story. The demand for wood is pretty high around here.
Snow and trees that's what it looks like this morning anyway. Some color, but most of the trees are just about bare.
Nice pics unclefess , good for you on the Oak score, go ahead and stack that wood right in the front yard. We don't mind.:stacke:
