Today's second load. mostly beech, but a little shagbark, elm and sugar maple. IMG_20161022_152938953.jpg

The first load was basswood, and I dropped off that load at my buddy's house for fires in his fire pit.

I stacked this load on the patio.

    Thats a cord and 2/3rd's.
I can fit 2 cords easily, but i get lazy by the time i make it to 4 ricks.
2 of those stacked rows = 1 rick.
So those first 6 rows that are stacked, that is a cord.
I usually always hand toss in the 4th cord because it is between my fenders and i refuse
to use my fenders at a anchor point for straps.
That tossed in pile is a rick and then behind that i have another rick that is stacked.

Was almost embarrassed to post my best trailer picture... I got nothing compared to most of yas! But, what the heck... best load from this year on my little 5x8 trailer. It was free and within half a mile of my house. Tree service clearing a wooded lot in the neighborhood for a new house. They sold all the big trunks to a paper mill, but they let me have as much of the rest of it I could handle. Six loads like this later, I have a couple cords for 17-18!

RobGuru , that's a good load. I haul in a 4x8 and I find that if I do all the cutting and hauling myself, a single load on a day off more than enough work.

Heck, you can't burn even one load like that a day. So you are ahead:yes:

Lil load from Saturday...mostly Ash and a bit o' Elm and Cherry. I Figure it should CSS out to 1.5 cord or maybe more.
This was all dropped by the power company at a co-workers house...the only issue was the distance, 60 miles round trip, I have never traveled anywheres near that distance for wood before....and I don't even need it really! :picard:  Oh well, I cut it and he hauled it to the truck  I usually hafta do it all muhself :loco:
I need to recalculate after this, I may be coming up on 25 cord CSS :D
