Daughter's birthday party cleanup, about 50 guests left well fed last night. Wife and I cleaned up last night too but still had to dry everything out as it was a soggy day.

Tried to finish a project but did not have proper motivation and then a neighbor showed up with beer. Another day!

I think tomorrow I'll do some trail work, leaves and pine needles going on a low area. Since it's wet out I'll try burning some junk pine in the outside fireplace.

Got my lawn mowed and used the leaf sweeper. I think I got about 7 loads of leaves. All of our ashes have dropped every leaf, the birches and locust have almost every leaf dropped. So, just the maples are holding on. We've got a silver and a norway maple. Most of our trees are ash though, followed by paper birch.

And given the off and on rain it was an indoor/ outdoor party. Parties are usually 60 on avg, and we do them twice a year for each kids birthday.

We do all the cooking with some guests chipping in a dish here or there, and keep it simple with yard games and tractor rides. Cost wise it's cheap, just a good amount of prep work for cooking for that many.

Got 19! kids on the "hayride" yesterday, a new record as I upgraded trailers this year. The baby 'bota growls going up the big hill but she gets it done.

Did some deer scouting and put up a couple game cams. Got the new lead launcher darn near making clovers @ 100. Moved the tree stand. Worked on my mower. Laid some more block on the smoke house. Good Murcia day today.

Wow, it is Monday already again. Seem to go trough the weekend like a blink of the eye. I don't work at any job, so for me, it is my week of appointments etc. Get some good morning coffee in me and a good scrubbing and then I'm ready to get moving. My goal this week is to continue with the insulating and wall coverings in the new sun porch. We are going to have that area so well buttoned up that we can leave the door to it open all the time. I really like the morning light in there. Big plus is no TV!
